New Year's Eve in London Sleepover
**News - We've managed to secure some spaces just for Monday Night 31st December 2007 - this means those of you that can't get Monday morning off work will be able to join us from 8pm onwards at Belushi's Bar downstairs and celebrate the New Year with us - and not have to worry about getting home because we'll have a bed waiting for you upstairs.
Please book a ONE night ticket ifyou only want to stay for 1 night (i.e. party with us on the 31st and sleepover that night only)
This coming News Years Eve (being on a Monday) will be the last New Years Eve that is adjacent to a weekend until 2010. With that in mind we thought it would be very cool to organise a 2 night sleepover in London.
We have booked several mixed dorm rooms at a brand new local hostel which has only been opened since June 2007 - the number of places on this 2 day event will be strictly limited.
The fact we’re booking ourselves into a hostel (with it’s own bar) also means we expect to meet lots of people from all over the world who will also be staying over.
The idea is that we all meetup on Sunday 30th December in Hammersmith, check into our hostel and once we're settled in party the night away.
Day 1 - Sunday 30th December
The first day is designed to be very relaxed, give people enough time to get to Hammersmith and generally be a chance for people to get to know each other.
4pm to 6pm: Meetup in Belushi's Bar in Hammersmith (which is part of the Hostel Building)
7pm: Move on to a local restaurant (So far plan is to go to the All you can eat Chinese Buffet in Hammersmith which has an excellent range of dishes - Group Kitty of £15 per person)
9pm: Move to the JD Wetherspoons opposite and spend any of the remaining kitty on amazingly good value Cocktail Jugs which can easily be shared between the group.
Closing Time: Return to the Hostel
Day 2 - Monday 31st December
The 2nd day’s activities will be based on the feedback we get from the people that have booked, we’ll have the entire day to do things - we could go 10 pin bowling during the day, visit a museum, go for a walk in London, go for a pub lunch, etc
However the plan is to spend the hours approaching midnight back at Belushi’s Bar in Hammersmith which is underneath the Hostel Rooms, that way you can party into the wee hours of the morning knowing your bed is only short walk away – with no need to spend money on taxi’s (which usually triple their fee’s on New Years Eve).
Who Should Book
There is no specific age limit however we expect this event to appeal most to people in their 20’s, 30’s & 40’s – you must however be over 18 to stay in the hostel.
You’ll be in a mixed dorm room of both men & women from the group with 8 people per room so you mustn’t be too shy. Private showers, bathrooms, etc where you can get changed are just located outside the door to most rooms.
The most important thing is that everyone is friendly, sociable and easy going. The event is more about meeting people and making new friends then about anything else.
